Did you drive fast? Did you run a red light? Maybe did you not pay a toll for using the road?

You can view the images of your infringement by entering the document identifier of the decision (9-digit number, e.g. 7000012345) and the registration number of the vehicle here:

https://ugyintezes.police.hu/en/kepfelvetel-megtekintese

You want to pay your fine to avoid future inconvenience!

You can also pay by bank transfer as follows!

To ensure that the payment is identifiable, you must enter the decision number - which is so called "ügyszám" in the top left corner of the document - the registration number of the vehicle and your name in the communication box.

Beneficiary: National Police Headquarters,

Beneficiary bank: Hungarian State Treasury,

Is it difficult to pay the fine?

Ask for a payment reduction! However, there is no possibility for the authority to reduce or waive the fine!

If your financial and income situation does not allow you to pay the fine in one lump sum payment, you can apply for a payment reduction by submitting a request for payment in instalments or for a 6-month deferral of the payment of the fine. Send your request before the deadline for payment expires.

The request for a payment reduction must include the following:

- the necessary identification data [case number (“ügyszám”), customer name, registration number],

- the reasons for requesting the reduction (financial situation, income, why it is difficult to make a lump sum payment)

- if you want to pay by instalments, amount of the instalments you can pay.

IMPORTANT! We cannot accept your application by e-mail, please send it to the authority by post.

For further information, please call the Call Centre from Monday to Thursday between 07.30-16.00, on Friday between 07.30-13.30!

You can reach the Administrative Authority Service of the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Police Headquarters at +36/45/526-000 or the Administrative Authority Service of the Vas County Police Headquarters at +36/94/515-230.

After identification, our staff will also provide information in English and German!

You didn’t use your car at the time of the offence? Was it sold, rented or stolen?

You can be exempted from paying the fine if you can prove by a fully documented private declaration that you sold, leased out or lent your vehicle before the infringement. This statement must include the registration number of the vehicle, the place and date of birth, the address or, in the case of a legal person, the name of the place of business or registered office of the user/buyer and the date of use and, in the case of a contract of sale, the date of taking possession.  For approval of the declaration, the original documents or a certified copies shall be attached.

If you wish to make a declaration, please use the reply form annexed to the decision. If you have sold or leased out the vehicle, please attach a document proving this.

If your car was stolen before the offence and you have initiated the appropriate proceedings (lodged a complaint) before receiving the decision imposing the fine, send the document proving this so that you can be exempted from paying the fine.

Do you disagree with the fine?

If you still have any objections, complaints, or disagree with the decision, you should send your complaint in writing by post to the competent authority within 15 days of receiving our letter. If you send us your complaint by e-mail, we will not be able to process it.

After the days, you have further 15 days to appeal, but this is subject to a fee, the exact amount of which will be specified in the decision.

You can pay the fee electronically at the time of the initiation of the procedure at https://ugyintezes.police.hu/ by free payment by credit card (VPOS) or by bank transfer.

If you wish to pay the fee by bank transfer, please indicate your name, address or registered office and the case number (“ügyszám”) in the communication box so that it can be identified.

Outside Hungary, you can pay the fee to the following account number: IBAN: HU72100320000104006100000000 SWIFT/BIC code: HUSTHUHB (Correspondent bank: Hungarian National Bank SWIFT/BIC code: MANEHUHB).

The appeal must contain the necessary identification data [case number (“ügyszám”), client name, registration number] and must be justified (description of the relevant circumstances).

After the adjudication of the appeal, the client may bring an administrative appeal against the decision of the second instance before the court for a review of legality.

If you do not wish to act in person, an authorized representative can act on your behalf if he/she has a valid authorization issued to them.
